It comes after the state government issued recommendations for local councils.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Central Coast motorists will no longer have to fork out $100+ for a parking infringement, with fines handed out on Central Coast streets set to be slashed.<\/p>\n

According to NBN News, the Central Coast Council has resolved to opt into the new state government laws surrounding parking fines, reducing the minimum fine to $80 \u2013 a $32 drop from the previous minimum.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Last year, NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet announced that the state government would cut the minimum cost of a range of parking fines it issues, and gave local councils the options to follow suit.<\/p>\n

Although the adoption of the initiative was voluntary, the Central Coast Council chose to adopt it amidst the parking crisis\u2019s in Terrigal and Gosford.<\/p>\n

A ten-minute saving grace period on parking fines was also introduced by the state government earlier this year. \u00a0<\/p>\n
