Well, Gap Creek Campground is here to save the day! Great for avid adventurers and families alike, this campground offers up immediate entry to loads of great walking tracks and easy access to the beautiful Gap Creek waterfall. The campsites here are unmarked and designed for small groups, so make sure to keep your number of camping companions to a minimum. Located in Marramarra National park right next to the water, Gentlemans Halt Campground can only be accessed by a 10km hike, by kayak or by boat. This back-to-basics spot is unpowered, but boy \u2013 with all the swimming and kayaking you\u2019ll be doing, you won\u2019t have to worry about charging your phone!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2019-01-18_09_19_53-gentlemanshalt_hashtag_on_instagram_photos_and_videos.png\" width=\"396\" height=\"395\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Image: Instagram\/@habitualhiker<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bangalow Campground <\/strong><strong>I Watagans National Park<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Camping is all about escaping the stresses of daily life \u2013 work, bills, and frustrating moments like when someone steals that damn good leftover spag bol you had in the fridge for lunch. Well, say goodbye to annoying lunch thieves and hello to Bangalow Campground! Tucked under the shade of tall blue gums and blackbutts, this rustic campsite is a great base to explore the beautiful hikes, cycling tracks, and lookouts the Watagans has to offer. The sites at this campground are unpowered, and there is no water source so make sure to come prepared! There are, however, plenty of picnic tables, barbecue facilities and toilets.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2019-01-18_08_46_36-monkey_face_lookout_on_instagram_photos_and_videos.png\" width=\"389\" height=\"514\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Image: Instagram\/@jackywills<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ten Mile Hollow Campground <\/strong><strong>I Dharug National Park <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is definitely one for the hikers out there! The Ten Mile Hollow campground can only be reached by a 15km hike, and is often used as an overnight stop on the Old Great North Road hike. Tucked away in Dharug National Park near Wisemans Ferry, this is an extremely remote campsite, and is the perfect place to sit back and look at the stars unblemished by the city lights.
