A two-chevron distance equals 92m \u2013 the recommended safe distance when travelling 110km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>Failure to keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front will result in a $448 fine and three demerit points.<\/p>\n<p>A safe gap can be calculated without markings by noting when the rear of the vehicle in front of you passes an object.
