Get ready for some more fun, because Gosford\u2019s Leagues Club Park play zone has re-opened after some repairs to make it easier for kids to get around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nature-inspired play zone was temporarily closed for repairs but has now reopened following work to replace the mulched garden with springy rubber softfall surfacing, making it easier than ever for kids to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said the improvements will allow kids at the popular park to play their own way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLeagues Club Park is proving popular with local families and these playground improvements will allow even more kids to safely run, climb and slide,\u201d Mr Crouch said, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKids like to play their own way and I\u2019m glad that the Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation (HCCDC) had the opportunity to provide this new shortcut back up to the slides.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe softfall surfacing looks fantastic and fits in perfectly with the Park\u2019s natural setting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gosford\u2019s Leagues Club Park officially opened<\/a> earlier this year, with the park featuring an Australian-first tidal terrace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tidal Terrace brings Brisbane Water into the park through a shallow waterway for the first-time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water quality is being tested rigorously, with other features like pumps, rain gauges, and filters installed to ensure a clean and safe space for children to play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities have also kept safety at the front of mind, with an automated underground gate also been installed to control the amount of water flowing into the tidal terrace, ensuring a safe depth of 30cm is always maintained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the best part? As the tide rises and falls, it will uncover stunning sandstone animal \u2018islands\u2019 which have been inspired by the nearby Bulgandry Indigenous art site! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
