The Federal Government is set to invest $4 million in the expansion of headspace services in Lake Haven to ensure young people in the area can access mental health services where and when they need them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funding boost will see the expansion of the Lake Haven centre from a headspace satellite centre to a full centre, providing the full range of headspace services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senator for New South Wales, Jim Molan, said the upgrade to the headspace satellite in Lake Haven is very welcome and would provide great benefits to local young people aged 12 to 25 years, as well as their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am delighted that Lake Haven will very soon have its own headspace centre offering the full range of services and opening hours,\u201d Mr [Molan] said,\u00a0
\u201cThis investment is part of the Morrison Government\u2019s commitment to improve mental health services in New South Wales and across the nation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nMinister for Health and Aged Care, Greg Hunt, said headspace offers a safe, welcoming place where young people can get non-judgemental professional help and peer support to tackle their challenges in a way that is right for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHeadspace provides free or low cost youth-friendly primary mental health services with a single entry point to holistic care in four key areas\u2014mental health, related physical health, substance misuse, and social and vocational support,\u201d Mr Hunt said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
