Small business owners, sole traders and not-for-profit groups across the Central Coast are being reminded they can now apply for one-off grants from the NSW Government if they’ve been affected by the ongoing lockdown. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The one-off grants, ranging between $7,500 and $15,000, are designed to help local businesses which have been forced to shut their doors or change their normal operations due to the NSW lockdown.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Businesses that have suffered up to a 70% decline in turnover can apply, with Service NSW set to respond to applicants within days of the online application being received according to Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI urge any local business with a turnover between $75,000 and $50 million, and with a wages bill below $10 million, to apply now,\u201d Mr Crouch said,\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBusinesses that have suffered a 30% decline in turnover can receive $7,500, businesses with a 50% decline can receive $10,500, and those with a 70% decline can receive $15,000.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cService NSW staff have worked around the clock to open this grant up for applications as quickly as possible,\u201d said Mr Crouch,\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInstead of taking weeks, Service NSW will assess and respond to applicants within days of the online application being received.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other financial support for businesses impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 lockdowns include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \u201cMicro\u201d businesses with a turnover between $30,000 and $75,000 which experience a 30% decline in turnover will receive a fortnightly grant of $1,500.<\/li>
- Businesses that do not sack staff will receive a fortnightly payment between $1,500 and $10,000 as part of a new JobSaver program.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
