NSW has recorded 78 new cases of locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, with Premier Gladys Berejiklian calling the drop “pleasing”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
NSW Health have re-issued a statement, clarifying the numbers who were infected in the community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The NSW health department has just reissued a corrected press release on cases that were in isolation and out in the community. Thirty-seven cases were in isolation, eight were partially isolating, 21 were infectious in the community and twelve cases are under investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One new overseas-acquired case was recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm last night. The total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic is now 6,931. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are currently 95 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 27 people in intensive care, 11 of whom require ventilation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were 62,860 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day\u2019s total of 75,845.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of the 78 locally acquired cases reported to 8pm last night, 52 are from South Western Sydney Local Health District (LHD), 11 are from Western Sydney LHD, three are from Sydney LHD, 11 are from South Eastern Sydney LHD, and one is from Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were none reported for the Central Coast Local Health District.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
