Another day, another property milestone for the Central Coast with two new suburbs named as popular spots for first time home buyers! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
New data from InfoTrack has revealed the Central Coast suburbs of Hamlyn Terrace and the Greater Gosford area are some of the most sought-after spots for first home buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hamlyn Terrace topped the list of regional suburbs with InfoTrack saying its proximity to Sydney and Newcastle makes it attractive for first home buyers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
InfoTrack revealed the price for a median three-bedroom in the much sought-after suburb is $540,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Greater Gosford was pipped at the post by Wagga Wagga but came in third with a median house price of $575,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief Executive Officer of InfoTrack John Ahern said Gosford\u2019s proximity to Sydney is what puts it at third. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGosford is further south and closer to Sydney than Hamlyn Terrace – and it\u2019s a bit more expensive too – but that\u2019s likely due to its proximity to the city,\u201d Mr Ahern said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regional centres Dubbo, Bathurst and Tamworth also made the cut with Mr Ahern saying regional markets have experienced an unprecedented boom since the start of COVID-19 last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to InfoTrack, regional NSW also still offers first-home buyers more square metre bang for their buck than in Greater Sydney. While Sydney\u2019s median house price has risen to $994,298, the median price for a house in regional NSW is significantly lower at $586,982. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
