Times are tough for many Coasties, but they can be even tougher for people who are homeless or at risk or homelessness which is why one local club has launched an initiative with a difference during lockdown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gosford RSL have launched the Cooking 4 Coast Shelter initiative, which came about following Gosford RSL contacting them to see what additional assistance they may need during lockdown, especially since Coast Shelter\u2019s team of amazing volunteers are in lockdown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, Gosford RSL have done something to help, ramping up their efforts to help Coast Shelter feed our homeless with the Gosford RSL team of chefs and staff creating and preparing delicious wholesome meals, which will be delivered to Coast Shelter daily. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And now, Gosford RSL is inviting the community to get involved to help them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gosford RSL is encouraging anyone within 10kms of the club to drop of donations of non-perishable \/ canned food items! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Contactless drop-off points are located at the Club\u2019s entry, with all packaging sanitised. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Gosford RSL CEO Russell Cooper put it, we are all struggling but they want to help people who may be struggling that little bit more! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs we are all facing the challenges of another lockdown. We here at GRSL were thinking about what we could do to help others who might be struggling more than we are.\u201d Mr Cooper said.\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
