The Central Coast Local Health District has released a statement confirming there are nine cases of COVID-19 in our local health district.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eight of the cases live in the same household, with one case included in today\u2019s numbers.\u00a0NSW Health earlier confirmed they were notified of the eight others after the 8 pm cut-off time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seven household contacts of this case were identified and have now also tested positive for COVID-19 with investigations ongoing into the source of the infection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, NSW Health has confirmed one further case has been identified with this case linked to known cases in the Hunter region who spent time on Blacksmiths Beach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Contact tracing and case investigations are ongoing but a number of Central Coast COVID-19 exposure sites have been identified. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These sites include the Lake Munmorah Public School, which is closed for on-site learning today to allow for deep cleaning and contact tracing. All staff and students have been asked to self-isolate until they receive further advice.\u00a0The full list can be found here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed is a casual contact who must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If your date of exposure at this venue occurred in the past four days, you must get another test on day five from the date of exposure. Wear a mask around others and limit your movements until you get another negative result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You should continue to monitor for symptoms and if any symptoms occur, get tested again:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Central Coast Local Health is asking everyone to remain vigilant for symptoms of COVID-19, which include: a fever cough, sore\/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, and loss of taste or smell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There are several local testing clinics open and operating.
