A new permit system will be introduced from Saturday requiring people to receive approval before travelling from Sydney to the Central Coast for particular reasons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new system introduced by the NSW Government will see a limit on people travelling between the regions and close a loophole that did see people travelling between a Sydney-based primary residence and a Central Coast-based holiday home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The permits will be accessible through\u00a0Service NSW<\/a>\u00a0and will be required for the following reasons:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said too many Sydneysiders had been exploiting the loophole until now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThere have been too many Sydneysiders exploiting this loophole and potentially putting our region\u2019s health and safety at risk,\u201d Mr Crouch said,\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are in the most critical phase of fighting COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
