In a world where it feels like the apocalypse everywhere you turn, we come bearing some good news for a change, there are two new Tasmanian Devils in the world and you (yeah, you!) could have the chance to name them!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Conservation group Aussie Ark has been busy recently after welcoming twin brother Tasmanian Devils, who are already showing their cheeky personalities \u2013 and keeping surrogate dad Hewin on his toes! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tassie Devils were born at Aussie Ark as part of the conservation\u2019s organisation insurance population for the endangered animal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, the Tasmanian Devils are calling the Australian Reptile Park home for now and are being hand-raised by Keeper Hewin Hochkins, who is lacking in the sleep department at the moment! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m lacking a little sleep at the moment, feeding these guys every few hours is hard work, but I wouldn\u2019t change a thing!\u201d said Hewin, \u201cThey\u2019re already showing off their personalities and I\u2019m excited to watch them grow.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
The adorable Joey\u2019s do require around the clock care, with warm snuggles and bottle feeds around four to five times a day, including a feed at 4:00am. The duo will be hand-raised by Keeper Hewin for the next eight months until they are independent enough to re-join their family at Aussie Ark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tassie Devils are yet to be named with Aussie Ark calling on the public to help name them! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every person who adopts a Tasmanian devil from Aussie Ark in the next month, until September 20th, will be in the running to not only name the devil joeys but also meet the newest arrivals at the Australian Reptile Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
