{"id":30467,"date":"2021-08-26T11:23:34","date_gmt":"2021-08-26T01:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/?p=30467"},"modified":"2021-08-26T12:05:04","modified_gmt":"2021-08-26T02:05:04","slug":"central-coast-to-remain-in-lockdown-alongside-the-rest-of-regional-nsw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/home\/central-coast-to-remain-in-lockdown-alongside-the-rest-of-regional-nsw\/","title":{"rendered":"Central Coast To Remain In Lockdown Alongside The Rest Of Regional NSW"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has confirmed regional NSW \u2013 including the Central Coast \u2013 will remain in lockdown for at least another two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Berejiklian cited public health advice, saying the situation in the regional NSW including the Central West and Dubbo is still concerning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same rules under the public health orders will apply until at least 11:59pm on September 10, in line with existing orders for the Greater Sydney area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NSW Health has said everyone must stay at home unless they have a reasonable excuse to leave. They also cannot have visitors in their home from outside their household, including family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the premier has announced more freedoms for fully vaccinated people from Monday, September 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following consultation with Dr Kerry Chant and her team, as well as the NSW Chief Psychiatrist Dr Murray Wright, the following individual freedoms will be allowed for adults who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People in NSW who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be given more freedoms from 12:01am on Monday, September 13:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>For those who live outside the LGAs of concern, outdoor gatherings of up to five people (including children, all adults must be vaccinated) will be allowed in a person\u2019s LGA or within 5km from home.<\/li><li>For those who live inside the LGAs of concern <strong>(which does not include the Central Coast)<\/strong>, households with all adults vaccinated will be able to gather outdoors for recreation (including picnics) within the existing rules (for one hour only, outside curfew hours and within 5km of home). This is in addition to the one hour allowed for exercise.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Berejiklian briefly outlined a roadmap out for when the following targets are hit, freedoms will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>70 per cent full vaccination: a range of family, industry, community and economic restrictions to be lifted <strong>for those who are vaccinated.<\/strong><\/li><li>80 per cent full vaccination: further easing of restrictions on industry, community and the economy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The government is also investigating trials of certain industries in coming months, as a proof-of-concept measure to prepare the businesses to open up and operate in a COVID-safe way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Berejiklian thanked the millions of people across NSW who came forward to receive their vaccine, helping hit the six million doses target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are so grateful for every person who comes forward to get vaccinated because the more jabs we get into arms, the sooner we can lift restrictions,\u201d Ms Berejiklian said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the community\u2019s patience in the lead up to 13 September, this additional time will allow the recent surge of vaccines to take effect.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy Premier John Barilaro said this roadmap is our path to freedom and is our biggest incentive yet to get vaccinated so we can return to a level of normality.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe roadmap announced today outlines a clear pathway forward in which a range of family, industry, community and economic restrictions will be lifted for those that are fully vaccinated when NSW hits 70 per cent,\u201d Mr Barilaro said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHaving a meal with loved ones, or having a drink with friends is just around the corner, but to get there, we need to keep up momentum in the vaccination rollout.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest update comes as NSW records 1029 locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours until 8pm last night.<\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NSW recorded 1,029 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night. <\/p>\n<p>Of these locally acquired cases, 185 are linked to a known case or cluster \u2013 160 are household contacts and 25 are close contacts \u2013 source of infection for 844 cases under investigation <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6VcaKAXjno\">pic.twitter.com\/6VcaKAXjno<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NSW Health (@NSWHealth) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NSWHealth\/status\/1430696874248335360?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 26, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to NSW Health, of these locally acquired cases, 185 are linked to a known case or cluster \u2013 160 are household contacts and 25 are close contacts \u2013 and the source of infection for 844 cases is under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ninety-one were in isolation throughout their infectious period and 33 were in isolation for part of their infectious period. Sixty-one cases were infectious in the community, and the isolation status of 844 cases remains under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two cases have been reported for the Central Coast Local Health District in the 24 hours to 8 pm last night, while pleasingly no new cases have been reported for the Hunter New England Local Health District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Central Coast Health has confirmed one case is linked to a known case in Sydney. They were in isolation for their entire infectious period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second case is linked to a worksite in Sydney. They were not in isolation during their infectious period. All close contacts have been identified and in isolation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of Central Coast locations have been identified as exposure sites:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone who attended the following venues on the dates and times listed is a casual contact.
