A new, pop-up service is now available to support the mental health of Central Coast residents during the COVID-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Head To Health Pop Up service is now available at the Tuggerah, with services available to support the mental health of people across the Central Coast, of all ages, who may be struggling during the extended lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mental health support services will be delivered through a multidisciplinary team of mental health workers, including psychologists, mental health nurses, mental health occupational therapists, social workers and peer workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Head To Health Pop Up service will be available to anyone of any age in the community with or without a GP mental health treatment plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Care Network CEO Richard Nankervis said the service is designed to offer a seamless service to guide people through this tough time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMental health issues don\u2019t discriminate. Many people in our region may have never experienced mental ill-health before and are facing new challenges due to COVID-19,\u201d Mr Nankervis said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHead to Health is designed to offer a seamless service for guiding people in mental distress or feel they are unable to cope with the extra pressures brought on by the pandemic to the right support.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Head to Health pop-up hub is located at Beam Health at 1 Bryant Drive, Tuggerah and will offer free services and can be accessed by calling 1800 595 212.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The service is available by calling 1800 595 212 Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm (except public holidays).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
