Calling all beer lovers, because a new brewery is all but set to arrive on the Central Coast with funding committed to the proposed Beerfarm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal has confirmed the NSW Government will contributing money from NSW Government\u2019s Regional Job Creation Fund to develop the previously proposed Beerfarm from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe NSW Government is contributing $900,000 for Beerfarm to build a brewhouse, manufacturing facility, laboratory and packaging area at Halloran, with the project creating 47 full-time jobs over the next two years,\u201d Mr Crouch said,\u00a0

\u201cThis project also includes upgrades to town water connections, sewer mains and digital connectivity, all of which will pave the way for future jobs and business opportunities in the area.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Director of Beerfarm Craig Thomason said the funding provides an exciting opportunity to bring the Beerfarm brand to NSW, create new jobs and provide skills opportunities for young people on the Central Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeerfarm will create a farm style, rural space for local people and families to enjoy. We look forward to collaborating with a diverse range of local businesses and producers in a sustainable way,\u201d Mr Thomason said,

\u201cWe think of a brewery as a \u2018community asset\u2019 so we aim to build and create an exceptional venue and product range that the Central Coast will be proud of.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Western Australia-based brewer submitted an application to transform a 10-hectare site on Mountain Road, Halloran into a restaurant and brewery earlier this year<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant is set to be in line with the Beerfarm\u2019s Western Australia restaurant without taking away from Halloran\u2019s rural setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Development Application states \u201cThe large barn door opening of the restaurant retains the rural feel of the land and large openings bring the outside in capturing views and providing good ventilation.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the development application, the proposed restaurant would hold a capacity of 450 seats, with ground level, mezzanine level, kitchen and bar all included.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operators behind the Beerfarm have also proposed constructing a second building on the Halloran site, which would house brewing resources including a brewing room, laboratory, mill, packaging, and cool room. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beerfarm will employ 42 full-time employees and 27 casual, local workers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to Beer & Brewer<\/a> at the time, a spokesperson for the Beerfarm said they are excited at the potential of the multi-million project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are extremely proud of what we have contributed to the Margaret River region and its community,\u201d the spokesperson said in a statement,<\/em>

\u201cWe are also as excited about the potential of this new project and have already made some exciting relationships within the local community to ensure we deliver something the Central Coast of NSW can be proud of and call their own.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Beerfarm confirmed they wanted to add their touch to the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur intention, much like our brewery in Margaret River, is to add value to the local region by bringing genuine and authentic experiences and products, that locals can enjoy at their leisure.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Whilst the NSW Government has committed money, the development application is still listed as under assessment with Central Coast Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
