Grab the kids for a fun day out because Green Point\u2019s Sun Valley Park has officially re-opened after a $1.3 million dollar redevelopment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly redeveloped park re-opened to the public last week with plenty of new features for the kids (and the big kids at heart) including basketball courts, a nature obstacle course and climbing nets for kids of all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fun doesn\u2019t stop there with swings, new shelters, picnic facilities, accessible amenities, an upgraded car park and so much more. Check out some images shared with Star 104.5 below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So cool! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said the redeveloped park meets the growing needs of the Green Point community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I doorknocked the streets of Green Point in 2019 one of the most common requests I received was for a better playground, and I am delighted that a partnership between the NSW Government and Central Coast Council has delivered such a fantastic community asset,\u201d Mr Crouch said,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe \u2018new\u2019 Sun Valley Park was designed with input from the community so that it meets the needs of Green Point\u2019s growing number of families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe finished product includes new basketball courts, play equipment, a flying fox, park furniture, barbeques, a water refill station, pathways, landscaping, fencing, a new amenity building and more car parking.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Central Coast Council CEO David Farmer said he can\u2019t wait to see the local community enjoy the space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe know Coast families love playspaces and I look forward to seeing our community enjoy this new facility,\u201d Mr Farmer said,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSun Valley Park playspace is now the Central Coast\u2019s third regional level playspace and part of Council\u2019s network of 260 playspaces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sun Valley Park redevelopment was funded by $1,347,500 from the NSW Government\u2019s Stronger Country Communities Fund in addition to a contribution from Central Coast Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
