The fate of Kim Cattrall\u2019s iconic Sex And The City character Samantha Jones has been revealed ahead of the release of the reboot of the hit 90s series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insiders have revealed to the Daily Mail that instead of being killed off in the \u201cAnd Just Like That\u201d reboot, art will imitate life with the iconic PR queen having falling out with Sarah Jessica Parker\u2019s character Carrie Bradshaw in the revival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to the Daily Mail<\/a>, an insider said writers behind the hit series are leaving the plot ambiguous to allow for Samantha Jones and Cattrall to return and reprise her role in a second season of the reboot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll announce eventually that the show will have a second season. This isn\u2019t a one off, this will be a series,\u201d the insider told the Daily Mail,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt will be quite a while between the first and second series as Sarah Jessica Parker has a busy schedule and we have a lot of work to do to get Kim Cattrall back. We all miss Kim and we hope she comes back for the second season \u2013 the door will never close on her, she is an important part of the franchise,\u201d the insider said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The insider also revealed fans won\u2019t have to wait long into the \u201cAnd Just Like That Reboot\u201d to find out more details about the on-screen rift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe get into her absence very quickly,\u201d the insider told the Daily Mail,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cViewers will learn that Samantha and Carrie have fallen out over Carrie firing Samantha as her publicist and that they no longer talk. This effectively ends their personal relationship. You’ll see as the series progresses over the 10 episodes that Carrie misses her friend and wants to repair the relationship. In the words of Oscar Wilde, life imitates art.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest revival of the series is set to follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they \u201cnavigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,\u201d according to HBO Max.<\/p>\n\n\n
