Somebody hide our wallets because Kmart is officially opening at Tuggerah in the coming weeks, and boy aren\u2019t we keen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Westfield Tuggerah confirmed the news earlier today, saying they are thrilled to announce the retail giant is opening its doors in the centre on Thursday, November 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom Homewares to Kids & Baby, Kmart\u2019s colourful new-look store will have all the great value, on-trend products that you know and love,\u201d Westfield said on Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest store comes off the back of an announcement by Kmart they have added two new inclusive dolls to its range, Guide Dog handlers (and their dogs) Luke and Lacey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Guide Dog dolls, which feature a person with low vision or blindness, aim to promote inclusion and accessibility in families. Whether they have or know someone with a Guide Dog, someone with low vision or blindness, or whether they have specially trained dogs for other purposes (such as Therapy or Assistance Dogs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe know that families come in all shapes and sizes and we want our product ranges to reflect that,\u201d Kmart said of the newbies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kmart CEO John Gualtieri says, \u201cInclusion is so important. Not just for children with disability and their families, but for all children. It can help form positive self-image, it can teach acceptance, and it can help children learn more about people different from themselves. We\u2019re proud to be expanding our representation of diversity in store to better reflect our teams and communities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that\u2019s not all. As well as new additions to the inclusive doll range, Kmart has donated 1,000 Guide Dog Dolls to Guide Dogs Australia, which will be distributed to children with low vision or blindness, their families, and networks across the country as part of International Day of People with Disability on Friday 3 December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
