Not our Corn Flakes!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

You might soon notice that the price of Kellogg’s cereals on supermarket shelves have gone up.<\/p>\n

The manufacturer made a statement on its website saying the drought is to blame, with the company forced to pass increased production costs on to consumers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It’ll affect favourites like Corn Flakes, Nutri Grain, Froot Loops, All-Bran, Special K and Rice Bubbles. The drought has seen the cost of ingredients like corn, wheat, oats and rice skyrocket. But Kellogg’s refuses to source from overseas, saying in the statement:<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve been buying Aussie grains since we first opened our factory doors in Australia over 90 years ago, and even when droughts make crops scarce and prices increase, we will always do everything we can to buy locally and support Australian farmers \u2013 because without them, Kellogg\u2019s just isn\u2019t Kellogg\u2019s.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The manufacturer admits it knows its customers are doing it tough as well, with their statement reading \u201cthis is not a decision we have taken lightly\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
