The Sex and the City<\/em> reboot \u201cAnd Just Like That<\/em>…\u201d might be back for a second season according to a new report from industry insiders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you love it or loathe it, the reboot has been quite the ride already for our favourite ladies \u2013 Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda \u2013 as the navigate life in their 50s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve already had Mr Big abruptly dying after a ride on his Peloton bike in the first episode, Carrie trying to get back into the dating scene in her 50s and of course, Miranda and Steve divorcing after Miranda falls in love with Carrie\u2019s podcast partner Che.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But despite the mixed reviews from both critics and fans of the series, \u201cAnd Just Like That…\u201d<\/em> could be back for a second season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to Page Six<\/a>, a \u201cwell placed\u201d source said the reboot could return just to prove a point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe creative conversations haven\u2019t happened yet, but everyone is feeling good about the show,\u201d the source said,<\/p>

\u201cThey may feel that they want to prove a point that they can make a second season stronger and that it was valid to bring it back for fans.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

However, it seems like season two has been on the cards all along with creators behind the early 2000s series leaving the door open for the return of Kim Catrall\u2019s Samantha Jones from the get-go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll announce eventually that the show will have a second season. This isn\u2019t a one off, this will be a series,\u201d the insider told the Daily Mail<\/a> late last year,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt will be quite a while between the first and second series as Sarah Jessica Parker has a busy schedule and we have a lot of work to do to get Kim Cattrall back.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe all miss Kim and we hope she comes back for the second season \u2013 the door will never close on her, she is an important part of the franchise,\u201d the insider said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The final two episodes \u2013 and the rest of the Sex and the City <\/em>series and reboot \u2013 is available to watch on Aussie streaming service Binge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
