{"id":38094,"date":"2022-02-22T07:59:49","date_gmt":"2022-02-21T20:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/?p=38094"},"modified":"2022-02-22T08:03:22","modified_gmt":"2022-02-21T21:03:22","slug":"limited-train-services-to-run-across-sydney-the-central-coast-newcastle-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/home\/limited-train-services-to-run-across-sydney-the-central-coast-newcastle-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Limited Train Services To Run Across Sydney, The Central Coast &#038; Newcastle Today"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Limited trains services will be running across Greater Sydney today (February 22) following yesterday\u2019s shutdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trains will run at a minimum 30-minute frequency on most lines, however,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/T1SydneyTrains\/status\/1495850988741304323\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sydney Trains<\/a>&nbsp;is advising trips may take longer than usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A limited number of buses have also been arranged for major corridors across the network, but Sydney Trains is advising passengers to limit travel where possible and use alternative modes of transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest development comes after a stalemate between the NSW Government and the Rail, Tram and Bus Union (RBTU) which forced the <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/home\/trains-cancelled-all-day-across-sydney-the-central-coast-newcastle\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">network shutdown yesterday<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RBTU and NSW Government both blamed each other for the shutdown yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RTBU NSW Secretary Alex Classens said the NSW Government\u2019s decision to shut down the network was a \u201chuge dummy spit\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cToday\u2019s rail shut down was a huge dummy spit by the NSW Government, supported by their federal counterparts. It\u2019s good to see they\u2019ve now agreed to let the trains run again,\u201d Mr Claassens said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have said all along that the NSW Government could run services with our bans in place, and we are pleased that they have finally listened.
