Don\u2019t put the brolly away just yet Central Coast because another severe weather warning has been issued for this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The worst of the weather is set to hit us over Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology<\/a> (BoM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An upper low over northern NSW will slowly move south today and into Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A surface trough off the NSW coast is expected to strengthen, bringing moist southeasterlies onto the Hunter, Sydney Metropolitan area and the South Coast of NSW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heavy rainfall is possible, which may lead to flash flooding is forecast for the Hunter, Sydney Metropolitan areas and South Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Central Coast is right in the thick of it according to the BoM (Image: BoM)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Six-hourly rainfall totals between 70 to 120 mm are possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thunderstorms may deliver heavier totals over short time periods. Locally intense falls are possible. Separate severe thunderstorm warnings will be issued if this eventuates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heavy rainfall will persist throughout the warning area today, with the peak of the rainfall most likely about the Sydney Metropolitan and Illawarra districts later tonight (March 7) and into Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BoM is currently predicting anywhere between 50-100mm for the Central Coast on both Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An evacuation order and moderate flood warning remain in place for low-lying areas of Tuggerah Lake at the time of writing with the NSW SES warning residents that now is not the time to become complacent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really important people do keep up with these weather forecasts,\u201d NSW SES Commissioner Carlene York said,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is not time to let your guard down…It is still dangerous out there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An evacuation centre currently remains open at Diggers @ The Entrance (315 The Entrance Road, The Entrance).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roads in over 30 Central Coast suburbs have been affected with the full list of road closures available via Central Coast Council\u2019s website here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TL:DR: Don\u2019t be deceived by the patches of blue sky some of the Coast saw over the weekend because it\u2019s going to be much of the same weather we\u2019ve had the past couple of weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
