station and Tuggerah Precinct, improving the public domain, according to Transport for NSW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The upgrade will also make it easier for everyone to access public transport services including people with a disability, people with mobility aids, parents or carers with prams and travellers with luggage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lifts will be upgraded with other key benefits from the project set to include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>New pedestrian footbridge, lifts and stairs connecting the Pacific Highway, commuter car park and station platforms<\/li><li>New and extended canopies at station platforms<\/li><li>New family accessible, and male and female ambulant toilets<\/li><li>Platform widening to improve customer accessibility<\/li><li>Upgrades to station entrances including landscaping and new bicycle hoops<\/li><li>15 accessible parking spaces in the commuter car park<\/li><li>Accessibility upgrades to bus stops, and kiss and ride spaces<\/li><li>Improvements to CCTV, lighting and wayfinding signage<\/li><li>New and upgraded footpaths at station entrances<\/li><li>Demolition of the existing footbridge, stairs and connecting Entrance David Mehan \u2013 who has been lobbying for the upgrades for years \u2013 has welcomed the release of the plan for public comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI welcome the news that plans for the upgrade and lifts at Tuggerah Railway Station have finally been released for public comment,\u201d Mr Mehan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI encourage my constituents to take a look at the plans and submit their comments\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe belated but welcome commencement of this project is a tribute to the campaign supported and maintained by my constituents for lifts at Tuggerah Station which we have waged over the last 7 years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The public can provide feedback and comment <a
