Central Coast Council has released images of the newly revamped facilities at the Grant McBride Baths at The Entrance, and boy, doesn\u2019t it look fab? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Council has confirmed that after months of work, the bulk of the upgrades are now completed to the iconic Central Coast facility with the change rooms and public toilets receiving a refresh.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new parents\u2019 room has been installed, with Central Coast Council\u2019s Director of Community and Recreation Services Melanie Smith saying these upgrades now comply with accessibility standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Grant McBride Baths is a much-loved local spot which provides a space for locals and visitors to get active outdoors while connecting with other members of the community,\u201d Ms Smith said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese upgrades provide a refresh of the existing facilities and improve accessibility to the changeroom and public toilets, making them available for use to the whole community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Central Coast Council Administrator Rik Hart said the baths make up an important part of the social fabric of The Entrance<\/a> community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe iconic Grant McBride Baths are positioned along the pristine coastline at The Entrance and has long been a popular swimming spot for locals and visitors to the Central Coast,\u201d Mr Hart said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFirst constructed in 1938, these ocean pools are rich with local history and make up an important part of the social fabric of The Entrance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further works are scheduled for later in the year, with Central Coast Council set to replace the roof and eaves of the hall adjacent to the baths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Central Coast Council is also set to connect hot water to the hall and one shower in each of the male and female showers and replace the safety fencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grant McBride Baths are free for the general public to use year round, subject of course to maintenance and cleaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
