We\u2019ve got some talent here on the Central Coast.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winners of the annual Gosford Art Prize have been announced and clear your calendars, because you\u2019ll have to go and check out these fabulous artworks ASAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Central Coast artist Claire Tozer took out the $15,000 first prize for her acrylic and ink artwork titled Web<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her artist statement Tozer explains about her work \u201cwalking through the wetlands in Davistown, early morning, the mist and sun were making the network of spiderwebs shimmer between the reeds and bushes; the colours of the water was the backdrop.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second prize was taken out by another Central Coast artist, Muamer Cajic for his work titled Inselberg, which was done with coloured pencils on paper and explores the body as a resilient carrier, intimately connected to the mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning works were chosen by judges Emily Rolfe and Vicki Grima who said the selected artworks were \u201cimpressive\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning artworks plus other finalists artworks are on display at Gosford Regional Gallery from now until October 23 at Gosford Regional Gallery, 9:30am \u2013 4pm daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry to the Gosford Regional Gallery and Edogawa Commemorative Garden is free and while you\u2019re checking out the 2022 Gosford Art Prize, be sure to cast a vote for the Viewer\u2019s Choice Award, which will be announced at the end of the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
