Get ready to make a splash because the region’s favourite festival is making a huge return to the Central Coast in person for the first time in two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lakes Festival is returning right across the Central Coast from November 4 \u2013 November 13, with the popular annual event set to be bigger and better than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 30 events set to make a splash at several waterways across the region as the festival enters its seventh year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lakes Festival is a 10-day celebration of everything that makes the Central Coast waterways great (Image: Central Coast Council)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The 10-day festival is proudly presented by Central Coast Council and will feature a program of sporting, family, cultural and education events, with over twenty of these events set to be free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be art and live music events to encourage residents to get out and about to rediscover places right on our doorstep with family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toukley, The Entrance, Picnic Point, Ettalong, Killcare, Terrigal, Long Jetty and Avoca Beach are all set to shine throughout the celebration of our waterways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Light Up The Lake is set to be a major highlight, with several local artists set to headline the live music event on Saturday, November 5 at The Entrance Memorial Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headliners Beddy Rays, The Rions, and Le Shiv, and some fantastic local talent including Elaskia and Sitting Down Band are set to take to the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019ll also be fun activities, roving performers and fantastic food which is set to add to the sense of celebration in the air before the night finishes with a fireworks display that will literally light up the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other event highlights include stand-up paddle boarding and yoga at Long Jetty, Ettalong and Budgewoi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bouddi Coastal Run is also returning as part of The Lakes Festival, with participants taking in 21km of stunning coastal views with a variety of terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Families with young children can also get involved in the event\u2019s 1km Kids Beach Run and a 14km trail run set to be available for the teenagers in the family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
