{"id":49354,"date":"2022-11-25T11:59:29","date_gmt":"2022-11-25T00:59:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/?p=49354"},"modified":"2022-11-25T11:59:32","modified_gmt":"2022-11-25T00:59:32","slug":"second-dedicated-palliative-care-unit-confirmed-for-the-central-coast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/lifestyle\/central-coast-news\/second-dedicated-palliative-care-unit-confirmed-for-the-central-coast\/","title":{"rendered":"Second Dedicated Palliative Care Unit Confirmed For The Central Coast"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A second $13.6 million palliative care unit has been confirmed for the Central Coast, giving families and carers across the region with loved ones suffering a life-limiting illness more choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second Palliative Care Unit will be located at  <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/home\/construction-completed-on-new-clinical-services-building-at-wyong-hospital\/\">Wyong Hospital<\/a>, which is currently undergoing a major redevelopment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Construction timeframes will be confirmed once planning is further progressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State Minister for Regional Health Bronnie Taylor was on hand for the announcement and said the new 12-bed Palliative Care Unit will make a difference in the lives of patients, families and carers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis will make such a difference to the lives of patients, families and carers,\u201d Mrs Taylor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is about providing a choice to Central Coast residents. I know that many people prefer to be cared for at home, but unfortunately that isn\u2019t always an option.
