Dust off your walking boots because the $1.4 million upgrade to the picturesque Bouddi Coastal Walk has been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eight kilometre walking track has undergone a major upgrade with repairs to boardwalks and timber bridges by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New steps and track resurfacing has also been undertaken to help enhance the safety and improve the walking experience for the thousands of visitors each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whale watching will also be a whole lot easier from the Bouddi Coastal Track, with five new lookouts also installed at key vantage points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal, Adam Crouch welcomed the upgrades to the popular walking track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Bouddi Coastal Walk hugs the coastal clifftops and is quite dramatic, making it one of the most popular walks in the area, attracting more than 200,000 visitors a year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cNPWS airlifted more than 450-tonnes of sandstone, timber and steel to upgrade the walk, with high-quality materials and workmanship ensuring these tracks will last well into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese beautiful new lookouts have been named using traditional Aboriginal language relevant to the locations and offer fantastic vantage points to whale-watch and marvel at this special part of the world,\u201d Mr Crouch said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The $1.4 million Bouddi Coastal Walk upgrade was a part of the NSW Government\u2019s investment into national park infrastructure across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
