Conditions are expected to be warm and dry. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The showers across most of the east coast in the recent days has been welcomed by many with the pitter patter of rain offering up hopes of the end of the recent droughts that have been affecting much of the country.<\/p>\n

However, according to reports from the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), the droughts that have been affecting NSW are set to continue throughout spring.<\/p>\n

Doctor Andrew Watkins, the BOM Head of Long Range Forcasting, told ABC News that weather conditions sitting over the Indian Ocean point towards \u201cless rainfall and higher-than-average temperatures over the central and south-eastern Australia during winter and spring\u201d.<\/p>\n

Watkins then went on to reveal that current predictions failed to show any significant rainfall that could break the drought.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, the outlook is not indicating an easing of conditions in droughts areas,\u201d<\/p>\n

Average temperatures during the new season are also expected to climb with average spring temperatures increasing by 1.19 degrees since 2015.<\/p>\n

According to the Department of Primary Industries a whopping 19.4% of NSW is currently in an intense drought, with a further 21.7% in drought and 54.1% categorised as \u2018drought affected\u2019. In total, a 95.1% of NSW is either in drought or drought affected.<\/p>\n

This news comes just days after it was announced that the same weather conditions had resulted in the Central Coast bushfire season being moved forward to begin on September 1st<\/a> \u2013 a month before the season usually begins.<\/p>\n
