Congratulations are in order for one Central Coast<\/a> brewery, because they\u2019ve taken out multiple prizes at the Australian International Beer Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gosford RSL\u2019s Oak Haven has been awarded two gold and two bronze medals for their brews at the 2023 Australian International Beer Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards are the largest annual beer competition in the world judging both draught and packaged beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oak Haven took home the gold for their Pale Ale \u2018Sly Grog\u2019 and Mid-Strength \u2018Rusty Sail\u2019, along with the bronze for their Pale Ale \u2018Dr. Paul\u2019s Pils\u2019 and their Porter Style Dark Ale \u2018Bolthole\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the beers have a connection to the history of Gosford with the Oak Haven Brewery\u2019s first pale ale has been named \u2018Sly Grog\u2019 in memory of the initial member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These members were a little cheeky and \u2018sly\u2019 in exchanging coupons for alcohol in the basement, to ensure no alcohol was technically being sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018The Bolthole\u2019 Oak Haven Brewery\u2019s first dark ale has been named to capture the essence of the basement bar in the original Gosford RSL premises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the beers and ales have been crafted by Gosford RSL\u2019s expert brewer Steve Morenos, who has 13 years of experience in brewing American, British, European and Belgian beers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oak Haven brewery boasts state-of-the-art equipment and uses fresh local produce where possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also use no preservatives or artificial ingredients, and the brewery supports farmers using ethical and environmentally sustainable practices, whilst also utilising the world\u2019s best, high-purity hops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
