The Central Coast Regional Sporting Complex at Tuggerah has temporarily closed to the public ahead of the German National Team arriving for the Women\u2019s FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Saturday, July 1, 2023, until Monday, August 21, 2023, the Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex (CCRSRC) will be used exclusively by the German Women\u2019s Team for training and rehabilitation purposes as per Central Coast Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team will be based locally for the duration of the tournament as they prepare for their Group H games against Morocco, Columbia and South Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the requirements of the tournament, public access to the venue will be strictly controlled with enhanced security procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The public has also been reminded that personal drones will also not be permitted to fly in the airspace of the CCRSRC during training days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Council\u2019s Director of Community and Recreation Services Melanie Smith said that while it will be an imposition on the community the benefits of hosting the German contingent could not be overstated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI understand that it will be an interruption to the community who regularly use the parklands to walk their dogs or to exercise. We recommend using the Council approved dog park which is approximately 800 metres down the road on Church Street,\u201d Ms Smith said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere are many great walking tracks and beaches in the beautiful northern part of the Central Coast, and this is a great opportunity to explore the local area.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and the eyes of the world will be on the Central Coast,\u201d said Ms Smith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Germany will have exclusive access to the Central Coast <\/a>Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex while the England Lionesses will be based at Central Coast Stadium from 1 July \u2013 20 August 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The English Women\u2019s team will also call the Central Coast home for the duration of the tournament, setting up their base at Industree Group Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industree Group Stadium will revert back to its generic name of Central Coast Stadium for the duration of the FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup 2023 under FIFA regulations. No word yet on the status of the famous sauce bottles during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both nations have sent delegations to the Central Coast ahead of the commencement of the World Cup with the teams expected to arrive in mid-July ahead of the start of the Women\u2019s World Cup on Thursday, July 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup 2023 will feature 32 teams competing in 64 matches across Australia and New Zealand during July and August 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
