The 2023 FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup is set to kick off this week, but don\u2019t worry if you can\u2019t make it to a game because there will be live sites locally to watch the Matildas in action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our mighty Central Coast Mariners<\/a> will be hosting official FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup Viewing parties throughout the Matildas World Cup campaign.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first viewing party<\/a> will be held this Thursday (July 20) at Drifters Wharf from 7pm as the Matildas kick off their campaign against Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The viewing party will include trivia and prizes to be won. Seating is limited so it\u2019s a case of first in best dressed, so make sure you\u2019re there early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then, mark your calendars for the following week \u2018cause the Central Coast Mariners will be hosting another viewing party<\/a> at Drifters Wharf on Thursday, July 27, 2023, when the Matildas face off against Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup fever is spreading fast across the Central Coast with two teams continuing to set up base across our region ahead of the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The German Women\u2019s team is exclusively using Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex (CCRSRC) for training and rehabilitation purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The team will be based locally for the duration of the tournament as they prepare for their Group H games against Morocco, Columbia and South Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Due to the requirements of the tournament, public access to the venue will be strictly controlled with enhanced security procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The world number two ranked team were welcomed to the region over the weekend, with 100 Coasties turning out for a Darkinjung Smoking Ceremony and training session as per ABC Central Coast<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
