The former cast mates and IRL friends of Matthew Perry<\/a> \u2014 Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer \u2014 have spoken out in a joint statement two days after his passing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exclusive to People<\/a><\/em>, the statement reads:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we\u2019re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn time we will say more, as and when we are able,\u201d the statement continues. \u201cFor now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty\u2019s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message is then signed by Jennifer, Courtney, Lisa, Matt and David.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collective statement comes after another from series co-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane as well as executive producer Kevin Bright. Released on Sunday, their statement read:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are shocked and deeply, deeply saddened by our beloved friend Matthew\u2019s passing,\u201d they wrote. \u201cIt still seems impossible. All we can say is that we feel blessed to have had him as part of our lives. He was a brilliant talent.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a cliche to say that an actor makes a role their own, but in Matthew\u2019s case, there are no truer words. From the day we first heard him embody the role of Chandler Bing, there was no one else for us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will always cherish the joy, the light, the blinding intelligence he brought to every moment \u2014 not just to his work, but in life as well. He was always the funniest person in the room. More than that, he was the sweetest, with a giving and selfless heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
