Thousands of flyers are facing lengthy delays at Sydney\u2019s International Airport after a mass Australian Border Force security outage.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reports<\/a>\u00a0are circulating that passport control machines are down, with throngs of passengers queuing at the international departure gate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cranky passengers have taken to Twitter to express their frustration over the hold-up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Start of the queue to get into international departures, we are all wondering if two hours early was enough,” Twitter user @doughabdiel posted with the below photo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“The debacle at <\/span>SydneyAirport<\/span> this morning in the <\/span>Qantas<\/span> terminal. No foresight from management. Not enough security staff. No organisation. A terrible way to start the day,” user @Itsbenparks posted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An Austtralia Border Force spokesperson said the outage of the passport control gates affected services nationwide, however\u00a0it did not provide an explanation for what caused the incident and told the ABC News<\/a> it had no plans to respond to requests for further information.<\/span><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time a security outage has impacted passengers this year.<\/p>\n

In April, passport control machines were down in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane\u00a0international airports, with thousands of passengers experiencing massive queues at immigration.<\/p>\n
