Bridgerton <\/em>creator Shonda Rhimes has teased how many seasons we could see of the hit Netflix show, and unscrunch your shoulders because it\u2019s good news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, Rhimes teased that we\u2019ve got many more years to come with the steamy romance show on our screens.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are grateful for the incredible response Bridgerton has received from fans all around the globe,\u201d Rhimes said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShondaland is so proud that audiences far and wide have connected with our storytelling and the Bridgerton world we have built. We look forward to bringing more of this beloved universe to screens for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Netflix has renewed the Regency era romance series through to season four, but Rhimes confirmed her team have discussed seasons six and seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Netflix series follows author Julia Quinn\u2019s series and features romances such as that of Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) (Image: Netflix)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

When exactly will we see season four? Well, according to a recent interview with showrunner Jess Brownell<\/a>, the earliest we could see the show return is 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited about what we\u2019re writing. We\u2019re towards the end with the writer\u2019s room season, with the scripts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language,\u201d Brownell said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Brownell wouldn\u2019t be drawn on which Bridgerton <\/em>couple would be the \u2018diamond\u2019 of season four, other than to say fans would be \u201cvery, very happy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, we\u2019ve got a re-watch of season three to keep us entertained, with this season of Bridgerton <\/em>following the romance of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton\u2019s (Luke Newton<\/a>) romance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
