{"id":881,"date":"2019-04-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-16T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/uncategorized\/theres-going-be-autism-friendly-inflatable-play-sessions-central-coast-these-school\/"},"modified":"2019-04-17T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T14:00:00","slug":"theres-going-be-autism-friendly-inflatable-play-sessions-central-coast-these-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/lifestyle\/theres-going-be-autism-friendly-inflatable-play-sessions-central-coast-these-school\/","title":{"rendered":"There\u2019s going to be autism-friendly inflatable play sessions on the Central Coast these school holidays!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.star1045.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/jumping_castle_autism_day_2019.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>There\u2019s going to be three sessions this coming week! <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>School holiday playtime will soon more enjoyable and more inclusive for kids on the Central Coast with a wonderful new idea being brought to life by the Central Coast Council.<\/p>\n<p>For two days during the second week of the school holidays, autism\/sensory friendly play sessions will be held at Niagara Park Stadium to ensure all kids get a chance to play on the inflatable obstacle course.<\/p>\n<p>The one-hour sessions will allow the children to play in a quieter environment with more space.<\/p>\n<p>Any music will be turned off, and only twenty children will be allowed per session to ensure that kids have plenty of space to move around without being crowded or overwhelmed.<\/p>\n<p>Children with autism or sensory differences can often experience sound as magnified, distorted or muddled, may struggle with distorted sight when their vision becomes overloaded, and can experience pain when touched by people or objects \u2013 all issues this wonderful event aims to reduce.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There will be three sessions across two days with sessions on Tuesday 23rd April at 9.30am \u2013 10.30am and 1.30pm \u2013 2:30pm, and on Wednesday 24th April at 9.30am \u2013 10.30am.<\/p>\n<p>Bookings are essential due to the limited numbers, and the cost is $5 per child. Bookings can be made by calling 4325 8199.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s open to all children aged 5 years \u2013 12 years.<\/p>\n<p>These sessions are just some of the awesome free and low-cost activities organised by Central Coast for these school holidays.
